Mermaids can be Black

Nkasa Bolumbu writes an opinion piece on her thoughts with Disney's decision to cast a Black actress to play Ariel in the new live action movie. Bolumbu argues that skin color can be interchangeable when the whiteness of a character isn't a big part of their story like in Disney's movie "The Little Mermaid" or "Cinderella".
