| 18 | Lt. Charles G. Cassaday | Was killed in action June 4, 1944. His wife, the former Mary Crowell, is an American Red Cross staff assistant in India. |
| 18 | Technician Fifth Grade John M. Currell | Was killed in action near Bastoque, Belgium, January 2, 1945. He had previously been reported mission in action for several months. Surviving are his wife and two children, his father and mother, two brothers in service and one sister. |
| 18 | Lt. Guy Iversen | Lost on a Japanese ship which sank on October 24, 1944; died with the honor of being the first man from Cedar Falls to enlist, the first man to be wounded (December 1944); and the first man to be taken prisoner (captured on Bataan). |
