13 Mrs. Zella Abbott Is teaching second grade in Wilton, Iowa. She left the teaching profession just before the war, and returned to help during the emergency. Her husband operates the Abbott service station in Wilton. They have two children, LeonaMac, and Norman.
13 Dr. and Mrs. C. E. Standt, (Christine Merfeld) Reside at Stacyville, Iowa, where he is a dentist. They have three children, Kathleen, Mary Kay, and James.
13 Mrs. Joe Jenison, (Anne V. Keifer) Reports that they have retired from the farm, and are now living in a new home at Sanborn, Iowa.
13 Clara Helene Hansen Is director of women's physical education at Wisconsin State Teachers College, Platteville, where she resides. She formerly taught girls physical education at Albert Lea, Minnesota.
13 Rev. William C. Conradi Of Pueblo, Colorado, is teaching beginning German at the Pueblo Junior College. He is also a protestant chaplain at the Colorado State Hospital.
13 Mrs. John S. Hoffman, (Lucy Evans) Of Leon, Iowa, writes that she would like very much to hear from the girls who stayed at "Van Hall" (Van Cleve's) in 1925 and 1926.

13 Mr. and Mrs. Martin J. Douglas, (Elizabeth Schaible) And their son, Donald, now reside in Hollywood, California. Donald is a senior at the University of California.
13 Anna Hong Rutt Is a free lance writer. She received degrees from U. C. L. A., the U. of Washington, and Columbia, and has also studied abroad. Her husband is a professor of mathematics at Louisiana State University. They reside in Baton Rouge.
13 Charles Bert McDonald Is managing partner of McDonald and Company. dealers in investment securities with seven branch offices in Ohio. Address him at Shaker Heights, Cleveland, Ohio. His sister was the last missionary to come out of Japan during the war.
13 Mrs. Walter A. Dusenbery, (Catherine Milnes) Resides in Creston, Iowa, where she is a junior social welfare worker. Walter is a warehouse foreman.
13 Esther L. Reiser Is an elementary teacher at Brooks School in Des Moines, Iowa, where she resides.
13 George J. Balzer Is now director of education at the Milwaukee School of Engineering, after serving for twenty-seven years a high school principal in Milwaukee.
13 Louella M. Wright Is now a member of the department of English at the State University of Iowa. She is also the author of a monograph on Amos Noyes Currier. She is the daughter of the late D. Sands Wright, a member of the first faculty at Teachers College.

16 Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Olson, (Ann Perry) Reside in Niagara Falls, New York. Melvin is an executive officer of the Oldburg Electro Chemical Company; has been with the company since his graduation from Teachers College.
16 Mrs. Meylink, (Delia Hymans) She and her husband reside in Hull, Iowa, where they have bought a dry cleaning plant. Her husband was seriously wounded by enemy gunfire on the German front and lived in army hospitals until his discharge, January 1946.
16 Virginia T. Mueller Is the consultant and advisory nurse for the Illinois nursing home licensure program. In 1945, the Illinois legislature enacted a law providing for the licensure of institutions caring for the aged and infirm.
16 Barbara Staehling Is mathematics instructor at Redwood Falls, Minnesota.
16 Clermont D. Loper Formerly associate general secretary with the Y. M. C. A. at Berkeley, California; recently made general secretary of the Y. M. C. A. at Tucson, Arizona. His position at Berkeley is being taken by John Bertch.
16 Mrs. Vesta Murdock Is teaching first grade at Wilton, Iowa, where she has taught the past twenty-three years. She formerly taught at Moneta, Springdale, and Conrad, Iowa.
16 Bridget A. Wells Is an instructor in Calcutta, India. Formerly she taught in Burma. Her address is care of Lloyds Bank Ltd., New Delhi, India.
16 Bethel 'Betty' L. Merrill Formerly a junior library assistant with the naval air station, North Island, San Diego, California; now a librarian in the administration reference library of the public schools in San Diego. This is a library for teachers.
16 Keith Conklin and Leon W. Krafft Keith Conklin elected president of the Northeast Iowa Bandmasters Association. He is the instrumental music instructor at Marble Rock, Iowa. Leon W. Krafft has been named vice-president of the association. He is bandmaster at Nashua, Iowa.
16 Dr. and Mrs. R. M. McDowell, (Mary Anderson); Mr. and Mrs. Harry Kauffman, (Thelma Williams) Residing in Denver, Colorado, Dr. McDowell is a dentist; he and Mary have two children, John and Ann. The Kauffmans also reside in Denver. Harry is in the visual education department at the University of Denver.
16 Norbert L. Noecker Has purchased a lake resort on highway M-40 four miles south of Allegan, Michigan. The resort is an 80-acre tract including half of a 30-acre spring lake. He is also the consultant for an archery tackle manufacturer.
16 Mr. and Mrs. Dwane R. Collins, (Myrtle Telleen) He is assistant professor of education in charge of guidance, school of education, University of Connecticut; served for three years in the American air force, as clinical and aviation psychologist; have an adopted daughter, Beth.
16 Roland M. Bacon Is the coordinating head of the industrial arts department of the junior-senior high schools of Dansville, Virginia. He is in his twelfth year there.
16 Emmett Van Horn Cable Is plant superintendent of Woodall Industry in Detroit, Michigan. He resides in Monroe, Michigan.
16 Rev. Phillip L. Shutt Has joined the staff of the Conservative at Independence, Iowa. He was formerly news editor of the national weekly Episcopal magazine, "The Witness." He plans to retire from active parish work and devote his time to the newspaper and to creative writing.
16 Mr. and Mrs. Leslie G. Bechter, (Doris Moore) Have just returned from Buenos Aires, Argentina, where they have been teaching in the American section of the Colegio Ward school. They have two children, Kathleen and Danny. They are in Independence, Iowa.
17 Michael Goodman, Les 'Whitey' Hauer, Al Moldoff, Al Lo Balbo, and Lionel Lieberman Goodman is a training officer with the Veterans Administration in Miami Beach. Whitey teaches Phys. Ed. in a New York junior high. Al is a substitute Phys. Ed. teacher in N. Y. grade schools. Lionel is working on his master's degree.
17 Marjorie Armstrong Formerly a stenographer in the alumni office at Teachers College, now resides at Fort Dodge, Iowa.
17 Foy Beck Is social studies and reading teacher at the Lincoln grade school in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Her permanent address is Fort Dodge, Iowa.
17 Don Barnhart Has been named assistant football coach and instructor in physical education at the College. Barnhart, an all-North Central Conference tackle on Coach Starbeck's championship teams of 1941 and 1942, will assume his new duties September 1.
17 Carleton Rider Is coach of boys' athletics at Lenox high school. He was discharged from the army in March 1946.
17 Jean Carolyn Miller Is instrumental music instructor in the schools at Ames, Iowa. She also plays for the Iowa State College Symphony orchestra; principal cellist in the 1946 fall concert. She resides in Ames, Iowa.
17 Mrs. Winston Baker, (Mildred Claude) Resides at Popular, Montana, where her husband is a rancher.
17 Dugan Laird Is an instructor in speech at Kansas State Teachers college, Emporia, Kansas.
17 Mr. and Mrs. Clair C. Biddison, (Marcella Hull) Reside in La Junta, Colorado. Since her graduation, she has taught at Leon, Iowa, as well as Brush and Crowley, Colorado.
17 Mrs. Jennette Starr Wickey Is commercial instructor in the high school at Eldora, Iowa.
17 Gwen Wescott Is program director for the Girl Scouts in Los Angeles, California. Formerly she served as Pacific northwest traveling executive for the Girl Scouts, with headquarters in Seattle, for two years. Earlier she had traveled in the Midwest, in Kansas City.
17 Eleanor Rae Kruessel Married to Walter L. Wheaton; the couple is living in Waynesboro, Virginia.
17 Elizabeth McElhinney and Naomi McElhinney A former alumni office secretary at the College, resides in Waterloo. Her cousin, Naomi McElhinney, is the new secretary. She resides in Cedar Falls, Iowa.
17 Mr. and Mrs. Don Hensel, (Mabryn Schaefer) Reside in Alexander, Iowa, where Don is in the grocery store business.
17 Leo E. Olson Is operations engineer with Howard, Needles, Tammen and Bergendoff, consulting engineers, in Kennebunk, Maine, where he resides. He served in the navy during World War II; discharged in April 1946.
17 Mary Burns Has been appointed postmistress of Neola, Iowa.
17 Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Broadwater, (Doris McRoberts) Reside in Byron, Minnesota, where they operate a general store. They have three children, Connie Jo, Max, and Jean.
17 Mr. and Mrs. Thomas H. Boardman Have moved to Freeport, Illinois, where Thomas has accepted a position as director of visual education. He was recently released from army of occupation in Japan.

18 Dorothy Smith Married John Brooks, on December 24, 1946. Dorothy is an instructor in the schools at Glencoe, Illinois, and John is the golf professional at the country club in Bensenville, Illinois, where they reside.
18 Edith Irene Anderson Married Glen H. Peterson on June 12, 1946. They live at Harcourt, Iowa, where Glen farms.
18 Alma Wright Married Arthur S. Johnson on June 15, 1946. They reside in Chicago, Illinois.

18 Ivy Fluhrer Married William F. Prufrock, on June 25, 1946. Before marriage, Ivy was employed by the War Department in Chicago and St. Louis. William was with the Army Medical Corps and served overseas for three years. They reside in University City, Missouri.
18 Cora Hoel Married William Chamberlain in September 1946. They reside in San Francisco, California.
18 Richard Van Dyke Resigned as science instructor in the Cedar Falls, Iowa, high school. He recently purchased the Hillside Café on College Hill.
18 Mrs. Ruth Ann Keel Is teaching commercial subjects in the high school at Webster City, Iowa.
18 Corrine Merkel Is teaching in the grade school at Gowrie, Iowa.
18 Mrs. Charles B. Keiter, (Shirlee Hauser) Is vocal music instructor in the school at La Porte City, Iowa.
18 Willis Colville Is the new junior high instructor in the Mount Ayr school system. He will teach manual training classes. The Colvilles and their daughter reside in Mount Ayr.
18 Ethel Brutsche Married Herman A. Riis on January 26, 1947. Before her marriage, she taught in Dallas Center, Perry, and Coon Rapids, Iowa. She plans to retire from the teaching field after this year. They reside in Coon Rapids.
18 PFC. Donald MacRae and Adeline Taylor Is a stenographer with the War Department in the Pentagon, Washington, D. C. Before his induction into the army in June 1946, he taught at Riverton, Iowa. His wife is teaching at Iowa Falls, Iowa.
18 Janet Zuck Is teaching American government and history at Mason City, Iowa. She previously taught for two years at Alta, Iowa. She received her master's degree in American history at the University of Chicago, December 20, 1946. Her address is Mason City, Iowa.
18 Marjorie Rierson Is now commercial instructor of East high in Des Moines, Iowa. She formerly taught at Lytton, Britt, and Charles City, Iowa.
19 Dorothy Schwartz Married Arthur F. Wulff, on November 3, 1946. Dorothy taught English in the schools at Ionia, Conrad, and Estherville, Iowa, and for the last year has been employed in a government office in Chicago, where they reside.
19 Kathlyn Bacon Married Garth S. Proctor, on December 11, 1946. They reside in Los Angeles, California.
19 Rosemary Brewer Married Eugene P. Goodmann, on November 2, 1946. Before marriage, she taught at Burlington, Cedar Rapids, and Des Moines, Iowa. Eugene works in the research department of Standard Oil Company refinery at Whiting, Indiana. They reside in Hammond.
19 Viola Kaiser Married Allen Neal, on August 17, 1946. They reside at Masonville, Iowa.
19 Audrey Peet Married James L. Navarre, on December 2, 1946. Audrey taught at Waverly and Geneva, Iowa, before taking occupational therapy at University of Southern California. She and James, a veteran of the Army Air Corps, work at Bruns General Hospital.
19 David Bixby Hawk Married Eloise Best, in June 1946. They now reside in Chicago, Illinois, where David is attending the University of Chicago.
19 Ava Smith Married Henry Rademaker, on August 13, 1946. Ava taught for three years as a utility instructor in the Cedar Falls schools. Henry is associated with his father in the operation of a hatchery in Clarksville, Iowa.
19 Ruth Dentel Married Donald R. Kaldor, November 9, 1946. Ruth taught at Gilman and Webster City, Iowa, before going to Iowa State College, Ames, where she was associated with the extension service. Donald is an assistant professor of economics at Iowa State College.
19 Myrle George Married Fred E. Dutton, on February 7, 1946. Myrle is an instructor in social studies at Whittier School, Waterloo. Fred formerly farmed near Elmore, Minnesota. They plan to reside at Ledyard, Iowa, at the close of the current school year.

20 Dolores Dodd Married Harold Edward Hensel, on December 21, 1946. Dolores taught in the Blanche Stoddard School, Iowa Falls, Iowa, before her marriage. Harold is employed at Alexander, Iowa.
20 Carol Swenson Married Donald D. Peck, October 13, 1946. They reside in Cedar Rapids. Donald served three years with the Merchant Marines and is now engaged in business.
20 Mildred Kaplan Married Thomas D. Bell, on January 18, 1947. Mildred is teaching fourth grade in the schools at Sheffield, Iowa. After the completion of the school year, they will reside in Waterloo.
20 Phyllis Porter Married J. Marshall Wheeler, on June 29, 1946. They are both employed at the Naval Powder Factory in Indian Head, Maryland.
20 Jean Hutchcroft Married Robert A. Heiens, on July 7, 1946. They reside in Alton, Illinois.
20 Mary Ellen Sprole Married Pearse Walsh on August 24, 1946, in Nome, Alaska. They will reside in Nome where Pearse is employed by Pan-American Airways. Prior to her marriage, she was an instructor in the Territorial High School in Nome.
20 Mildred Brown Married Marvin Zinn, on November 29, 1946. She is teaching fourth grade at Shellsburg, Iowa, where they reside.
20 Myrla Stephens Married James D. Taylor, a junior student in the Berea school of agriculture, Kentucky. Myrla's present position is secretary and assistant to the dean of the Berea foundation school.
20 Eva Myers Married Paul L. Deist, on September 7, 1946. She is now a primary teacher at Remsen, Iowa.
20 Bessie Walston Married Lloyd Helmrichs, on October 26, 1946. Bessie formerly taught at Maynard, Iowa. They are living on a farm near Manchester.
20 Ruth Haan Married George O. Kirkelie, Jr., on November 24, 1946. Ruth has been associated with the Anaheim Building and Loan Association for the past year and a half, and plans to continue her work there. They reside in Anaheim.
20 Mary Ellen Bottom and Leo Solt Married on December 22, 1946, in a double-ring ceremony. Mary Ellen is teaching at the University high school in Iowa City and working on a master's degree in English. Leo is working toward a master's degree in history at the State University of Iowa.
20 Evelyn Leonard Married Lowell S. Gates, on January 19, 1947. Evelyn is assistant director of religious education at the University Christian church. Lowell is employed at the M. F. Patterson Dental Supply Company.
20 Erna Ardelle Roberts Married Bernard C. Hennessy, on August 8, 1946. She taught at Webster City, Iowa; served a year in the WAVES recruiting offices in Minneapolis and Chicago. Discharged from the Naval Air Corps in March 1946, he is studying journalism.
20 Leona Ann Illian Married Wilbert Engelbrecht on June 2, 1946. Leona taught four years in the schools in Scott County. They are living on a farm near Davenport, Iowa.

22 Elsie Emmert Married Robert Frantzen, on December 14, 1946. They reside in Manchester, Iowa. Elsie is teaching in Delaware, Iowa.
22 Ida Mae Davis and E. J. Snyder Married on August 6, 1946. Ida is now teaching second grade in Keokuk, Iowa, and formerly taught at Davenport. Her husband is attending the College. After June 1, they will reside in Cedar Falls, Iowa.
22 Frances Faust Married Elton Carey, on December 26, 1946. Frances is now commercial instructor in the high school at Alta, Iowa. Elton is attending Western Union College at Le Mars, Iowa.
22 Marie Fratzke and John Allan Married on March 6, 1947. While attending college, Marie appeared with the college quartet and was a member of Sigma Alpha Iota music fraternity and Delta Phi Delta social sorority. John Allan is now attending the College.
