4/15/2021 On April 14, UNI's on-campus vaccination clinic in the West Gym was cancelled due to the FDA's recommendation to "pause" the Johnson and Johnson shot. The vaccination was paused due to six female individuals having severe blood clots within the last 6-13 days. The UNI Student Health Center had little time to warn students of the cancellation and many students thought that the situation should have been handled better.

4/15/2021 The UNI women's soccer team went up against the Illinois State Redbirds for the Missouri Valley Conference tournament quarterfinal matchup. The game was tied 1-1 and went into overtime twice, but the Panthers lost 3-0 causing the spring season to end. The team is tentatively schedule to begin playing the 2021 season next fall.

4/12/2021 On April 4, one person was injured on College Hill due to his own firearm discharging, however, this is not the first incident related to gun violence that has taken place on College Hill. Within the past five years, seven reports involving guns were reported. With the change in Iowa Law allowing less regulation regarding gun ownership, many fear that gun related incidents will become more common in the next few year; photo.

On Friday, UNI fell to Loyola-Chicago 3-1 by scores of 17-25, 25-17, 24-26. The Panther's season will end as they did not receive an at-large big for the NCAA tournament.
