University of Northern Iowa geologist studies effects of airboats on arctic wildlife.

Jim Walters and his fellow scientists, discovered that the noise and traffic of the airboats could disturb the swans enough to force them out of the flats. Other wildlife such as moose and bear, probably would leave as well.
