12/30/2019 Department of Residence (DOR) has announced a number of changes and enhancements to campus living effective beginning in the fall 2020 semester. One adjustment students may have already noticed is that the recontracting process processed has been moved from November to February. By waiting until spring to start the recontracting process, it allow new students time in the fall to get adjusted to college and focus on their academics and get a better feel for where they might want to live the following year. The DOR will be adding a "mixed community" option combining first-year and upper-class students. Another notable update is the reopening of Dancer Hall.

11/4/2019 Michelle Moyna is the Resident Life Coordinator for Lawther Dorm. She is originally from Florida and a University of Florida Alumnus before moving to UNI to work with college students. Moyna is one of the advisers for the Residence Hall Association and also a chairman of the Training Committee here at UNI. She also has an active leading role around campus.
