6/1/1960 The TC audience had the opportunity to see "Dear Liar" during its pre-Broadway run as the first show of the Lecture-Concert Series of the season. The play is based on the correspondence between George Bernard Shaw and the famous Irish Actress, Mrs. Patrick Campbell. Played by Katharine Cornell and Brian Aherne, this comedic love affair featured no set, costumes, or make-up. Thus allowing the imagination to portray aging characters since the letters spanned over 40 years.
