The debate on proposed tuition increases in the Northern Iowa Student Government senate resulted in an undesirable final resolution. Senators expressed the opinion that their input did not matter to the Board of Regents. Amendments were not debated.

The new column, "From the President's Desk" was started. NISG has passed a resolution to resurface the pedestrian bridge over Hudson Road. NISG is now working more with student organizations. Public Safety recently has allowed skate boards on campus.

Lawther Field will be the scene on Sunday, September 11, of memories of the tragic event of ten years ago. Flags will be placed for each person killed during the terrorist attacks. Moments of silence will be observed at the times of the attacks.

Skateboarding is not allowed on campus. This policy took effect six years ago. Some have continued to skateboard and have been taken into custody and fined. Dave Zarifis is reviewing the policy.
