1/16/2020 | The Missouri Valley Conference is consistently one the most competitive and unpredictable conferences in the entire NCAA. The Valley has earned its reputation to be taken seriously come March Madness. All year, Northern Iowa has proven themselves to be the cream of the crop in the Valley. While many around the league agree that the Panthers are one the top teams in the Valley this season, the scheduling in the conference is one of the most grueling in the nation. 11/21/2019 | A.J. Green is a Cedar Falls native and grew up in the Cedar Valley. His father, Kyle Green, is a part of the athletic staff and has taken A.J. to games since he was little. A.J. came to UNI specifically to work under his father and to further UNI's name. | |

9/19/2019 | UNI basketball legends such as Ali Farorkhmanesh, Adam Koch, Kwadzo Ahelegbe, and the other members of the Sweet 16 team of 2009-2020 will be returning to UNI to be inducted into the UNI Hall of Fame. In 2019-2010, the men's basketball team beat the Kansas Jayhawks with Farorkhmanesh's shooting a three-point shot in the final thirty-five seconds of the game. Although the team fell short of the Elite Eight when they lost to Michigan State. |
