Each discussion features a different group of under-represented students who want to express their concerns and address faculty and staff on matters regarding inclusion at UNI. 9/12/2019 | Bernie Sanders came to UNI while on the campaign trail. Due to weather, the event was held in the West Gym and around 500 UNI students attended. Students Spencer Rodriguez, Lauren Jorge, Tyra Wanatee, Marlon Jackson spoke to the paper about their reasons for attending. Students Cade Olmstead, Shannon Williams, and Ochuko Avwunuma also spoke at the event; photos. |
