On April 14, UNI's on-campus vaccination clinic in the West Gym was cancelled due to the FDA's recommendation to "pause" the Johnson and Johnson shot. The vaccination was paused due to six female individuals having severe blood clots within the last 6-13 days. 5 Panther Train takes senior night 36-6

The Panthers wrestling team defeated West Virginia, 36-6, in the West Gymnasium during senior night. It was the last home meet for seniors Isaiah Patton, Bryce Steiert, Jay Schwarm, Paden Moore, Taylor Lujan, and Max Thomsen. Technical difficulties resulted in Democratic caucus result delays. As of printing, Pete Buttigieg narrowly led the state, followed by Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, and Joe Biden. UNI hosted two locations. In the West Gymnasium, Sanders received four delegates, Warren three, and Buttigieg two. In Maucker Union, Sanders received three delegates, and Warren, Buttigieg, and Klobuchar two. Student Erin Thomason, who served as the precinct chair for the West Gym, discussed the technical difficulties they encountered.

Bernie Sanders came to UNI while on the campaign trail. Due to weather, the event was held in the West Gym and around 500 UNI students attended.
