| UNI observes inaugural 'Arctic Day' | UNI's first "Arctic Day" was held on January 31 in conjunction with the launch of University of the Arctic (UArctic) and the ARCTICenter on campus. The center held a launch and information in Rod Library followed by scholar Tatiana Egorova's presentation "The Peoples of Frozen II: the Saami Culture in the Arctic" in the Innovative Teaching and Technology Center (ITTC). Its goal is to provide research and education about the North.
